Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Staff hope to make traditions a tradition

The Faculty of Business & Informatics Student Services Team at Rockhampton Campus has decided to lift morale by celebrating special events and traditions that may be relevant to staff or students.

So they put in a big effort to mark Halloween recently.

Janet West, the Faculty's Acting Executive Officer - International Operations, supplied the decorations and treats to evoke the spirit of the occasion, staff members dressed up and visitors from other faculties and divisions came over to get involved.
