Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQUni Mackay part of national launch for chiropractic students 

CQUniversity's Chiropractic Science students were part of the final leg of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia's (CAA) national launch for the Students of Chiropractors' Association of Australia (SoCAA).

Around 40 first and second-year students in the Chiropractic Science program at CQUniversity Mackay attended the launch to show support for the association and the new Chiropractic program at CQUniversity, which is now in its second year.

Visiting CEO of CAA, Andrew McNamara, said the Students of Chiropractors' Association of Australia (SoCAA) is a student-focused initiative to support students as they go through the unique educational phase to becoming a practising chiropractor.

The launch was held across four universities including Macquarie, Murdoch, RMIT and CQUniversity.
