A close shave for Brisbane Campus

CQUniversity Brisbane had a close shave last week which saw one of its staff members fall victim to an electric razor.

It was a one in three year event for Brisbane Graduation and TECC Coordinator Craig Macdonnell when he had his pony tail lopped for the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave event.

He had been growing it since the 2008 event, hoping to make a bigger impact and raise a few more dollars.

The Greatest Shave event had followed a busy enrolment period for staff in Brisbane leaving them in need of some relaxation and refreshment.

The Shave event provided an entertaining evening for staff, with the substantial pony tail auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The Leukaemia Foundation's vital work provides patients with practical support during their long and tough treatment, as well as funding important research.

It's been a lean year so far for the World's Greatest Shave, with only 40% of their target achieved, so your donations are gratefully accepted. PhotoID:10596, State Recruitment Manager Trish Hannan puts on the finishing touches on Craig Macdonnell's dome.
