CQU's Melbourne International Campus entered a six-member postgraduate team in the Business Strategy Competition held at Melbourne University School of Business in Carlton.
The competition, sponsored by the Boston Consultancy Group, was organised by members of the Commerce and Economics Society based at University of New South Wales.
The Boston Consulting Group is an international strategy and general management consulting firm whose mission is to assist leading corporations create and sustain competitive advantage. It is an international firm with clients and employees with a variety of cross-cultural experiences.
The lead-up to the competition involved several training sessions in which the team learnt how to work together as a group combining their diverse skills and talents across the business spectrum to act as consultants for a client-focused business.
“On the big day itself we gave it our all and came up with a performance we were proud of. Although we did not place first or second, the experience was a rewarding and stimulating one. Watching the other teams do their presentations after ours was a good way to learn more. We will be entering the competition again next year, so look out for our notices recruiting team members.
