Psycho-Social Update newsletter goes global

CQU's International Program for Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) is pleased to announce the release of the inaugural newsletter, ‘Psycho-Social Update'.

This publication is provided to an international audience of over 3000 health professionals, researchers and policy makers and will be circulated quarterly.

PhotoID:3480 “The aim of the newsletter is to translate the wealth of research findings from academic psycho-social health literature into lay language,” Dr Pam McGrath, IPP-SHR Director, said.

“The publication is designed to provide usable, easily understood information for all those interested or working within this area".

The release of ‘Psycho-Social Update’ consolidates IPP-SHR’s position as a world leader within Psycho-Social Health Research.

According to Mr Hamish Holewa, IPP-SHR Program Manager, “...nothing like this has been done before in the psycho-social health research arena. The translation of academic literature into lay summaries and delivery to the coal face represents an innovative way forward to making a difference".

The release of ‘Psycho-Social Update’ also correlates with the launch of the upgraded IPP-SHR website. The website features enhanced usability, increased interactivity and is a valuable information source for all people interested in psycho-social health research.

PhotoID:3481 “The upgraded website provides users with quick and easy access to IPP-SHR articles, publications and information. The website operationalises IPP-SHR’s philosophy of making our research as widely and easily available as possible,” Mr Holewa said.
