Litster helps tourism operators put best foot forward

CQU tourism lecturer Jillian Litster (pictured) may be on secondment to the Division of Teaching and Learning Services, but she still found time to help Whitsunday tourism operators learn how to put their best foot forward.

PhotoID:1141 Ms Litster recently facilitated a workshop to help the operators plan their entries for the 2004 Queensland & Regional Tourism Awards.

She also gave them some tips on how best to present their submissions.

As a judge of previous regional and State awards, Ms Litster was able to share a wealth of knowledge.

Liz Stewart, Manager Membership and Communications, Tourism Whitsundays, reported that "Jillian’s enthusiasm mixed with her expertise encouraged all of the attendees to come away from the workshop with not only the thought of entering awards that prior may have seemed beyond them but also with the knowledge that they would have a better understanding of their business by going through this process.”.
