Hiep studied for a Bachelor of Construction Management and Tran Phuc Minh Ngoc studied for a Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) degree.
The buy-and-sell website - GoingHomeSale.com - trades on the idea that students heading back to their home country often need to sell their possessions quickly.
The site registered 144 users in just its first 3 days, 6 years ago. It now boasts more than 37,000 visitors a day and is generating more than $ AUS 6000 a month.
A PhD student from Victoria University, Nguyen Minh Giang has met the partners and has invested his money and advice into this online business.
The website also offers valuable information for international students, with free advice about visa applications and immigration law from professional migration consultants.
"I believe the MBA program at CQUniversity is one of the best programs in Australia as it definitely helps students a lot in applying management theory into practice fast and easily," Hiep said.
"I could not image that this program would bring me such a fast ROI.
"The MBA program enables me to put bright ideas and many effective strategies into developing GoingHomeSale.com for the next steps."
Hiep says the website now has 18-20% more traffic compared to the past 9 months.
"We will expand it world-wide; wherever there are overseas students, We will be there!"
"I believe you should try your best to seek for a life career where you find meaning and passion as there will be no way you can stand out and become the best in a smart group if you just work for money."
Currently, Hiep works as a Business Development Manager for a Vietnamese Real Estate firm (one of the country's 5 largest) and attributes some of his entrepreneurial success to his studies.
