Lecturer helps with surf lifesaving history

School of Health and Human Performance lecturer Danya Hodgetts will be at Bondi Beach (Sydney) this Friday to take part in Governor-General\'s launch of \'Between the Flags: One hundred summers of Australian surf lifesaving\'.
For the past 3 years, Ms Hodgetts has been a member of the book\'s editorial committee.
Prior to that, she worked as the Surf Life Saving Australia National Development Manager, and later (telecommuting from CQU) as Centenary Project Manager.
Ms Hodgetts managed the history project for SLSA (2001 - 2004) and established formal archive processes, a friends of the museum group, a living history project and a number of other history projects.
Published by UNSW Press, the new book features a wide range of modern and historical photographs and is already available in book stores.
