Bundy welcomes all to Focus on Corals

Interested in the marine environment? CQU Bundaberg would be delighted to have your company at its Focus on Corals Conference, April 16-17 2005.

Two world-class authorities will present as keynote speakers at this event.

They are Associate Professor Justin Marshall from the University of Queensland Vision Touch and Hearing Research Centre (www.vthrc.uq.edu.au/ecovis/) and Dr Laurence McCook from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (www.pewmarine.org/pewFellowsDirectoryTemplate.php?PEWSerialInt=10267).

Participants can learn about cutting-edge research that is happening now in our own backyard (the Great Barrier Reef). They can trial a simple coral monitoring technique, developed by the University of Queensland, and see how it might be used to monitor our own local fringing reefs. They can learn how many of Queensland's coral reefs are being studied and managed.

In an effort to ensure the event is affordable for everyone, costs have been kept to a minimum - $30 per person (GST inc.) - including lunch and snacks both days. Places are limited so book now.
