Rockhampton people can celebrate National Dance Week with a choice of two major dance performances by performing arts students.
The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music students will present Dance Through The Movies, from 7.30pm Thursday (May 16) at Rockhampton High School Performing Arts Complex. Tickets are $3 at the door.
The students will also present Dance to the Beat, featuring guest percussionist Grant Collins, from 7.30pm Friday (May 17) at the same venue. Tickets are $5 at the door.
BPA students have also been working this week with visiting expert Brian Nolan, a former Australian Ballet dancer and national aerobics champion.
Brian has appeared as a variety show dancer on all TV networks and has appeared in three musicals. He is Australia's only international juror for classical ballet. He now works as a director/adjudicator/lecturer/teacher and choreographer.
