Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

St Ursula's College student wins TSXPO bursary 

Congratulations to St Ursula's College (Yeppoon) student Brittney Lawton who has won one of 3 TSXPO bursaries, available to visitors to the Brisbane education showcase in July.

PhotoID:3460 CQU's Tony Gubbins, chair of the TSXPO organising committee, was on hand recently to help present the bursary. CQU was a Platinum Sponsor of this year's event.

Also present was TSXPO event manager Shane Lynch, from Interchange Consultancy Group.

Brittney's bursary application was selected on merit from thousands of others submitted by TSXPO visitors.
