Mummery delegate to Queensland Obesity Summit

CQU's Professor Kerry Mummery is a delegate to this week's Queensland Obesity Summit, at Parliament House on May 3-4.

PhotoID:2847 He has also been in the national media lately, due to the release of survey results indicating most Queenslanders are overweight or obese.

More than half of men, more than half of people aged over 35 and almost half of women - that's the prevalence of overweight or obese Queenslanders, according to the study from CQU's Centre for Social Science Research (CSSR).

The study was based on data from the 2005 Queensland Social Survey carried out by CQU's Population Research Laboratory.

CSSR Director and Pop Lab Head Professor Kerry Mummery prepared a summary of results for release in conjunction with the Obesity Summit.
