Christmas time is all about giving for CQU

PhotoID:5260Central Queensland University staff have put their hands in their pockets for charities this Christmas in the hope they can make the festive season more enjoyable for a few battling families in Central Queensland.

Donations came in from across the Rockhampton campus for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, filling a number of Santa sacks with festive foods and gifts.

Staff and international students from CQU's Language Centre also got into the Aussie Christmas spirit of giving and donated to a needy Rockhampton family through the St Vincent de Paul Society.

The aim was to help students feel part of the local community by giving to those less fortunate.
