Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Romp planned for under 8s 

Under 8s will converge on Rockhampton's Botanic Gardens for a day of arts, craft, learning and entertainment next month.

Romp in the Park will be held on Friday May 14 from 9am to 1pm as part of Under 8s Week.

This year's theme is Living Diversity, Act Locally, Think Globally.

CQUniversity's Bachelor of Learning Management students will encourage the youngsters to take part in natural collage, easel painting, box construction, musical instrument creation and bracelet making, while childcare centres and kindergartens will offer clay and playdough play and storytelling.
