Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Guitar-playing Dean features on Radio NZ tonight 

CQUniversity's School of Creative and Performing Arts is led by a concert guitarist, Professor Matthew Marshall.

Prof Marshall's music will feature on Radio New Zealand tonight (May 24) from 6pm Australian eastern time, or 8pm NZ time.

This featured concert is a solo performance recorded in Wellington late last year. The program is contemporary classical guitar music by New Zealand composers and was the culmination of the 2011 New Zealand Classical Guitar Composition Competition, supported by SOUNZ the Centre for NZ Music, and the School of Creative & Performing Arts, CQUniversity.
