Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Publisher commends Hyland for research paper 

A research paper by CQU's Professor Paul Hyland has been selected as a Highly Commended Winner for the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2007, arranged by United Kingdom-based Emerald Group Publishing Limited.

Professor Hyland's commended paper was 'Statistical techniques to facilitate the launch price of fresh fruit: bringing science to the art of pricing', published in British Food Journal.

He is due to receive his official award in April this year.
