Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

St Luke's student gains iPad thanks to Bundaberg Open Day 

St Luke's Anglican School Year 10 Luke Chivers was a happy winner of our Bundaberg Campus Open Day prize of an iPad and intends to put it to good use.

Luke is interested in completing a course in CQUniversity's SUN (Start Uni Now) program during year 11. He's also participating in a German exchange program next year.

He is particularly interested in our Aviation degree and would like to be an Airforce pilot.

Luke's other interests include rowing, Bundaberg Youth Orchestra and motorbikes.

He enjoyed attending Open Day and finding out more about the University and the Aviation degree.
