Nominations sought for General Staff excellence awards

Nominations for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence to General Staff close next Friday, 11 October 2002. The Awards recognise and reward outstanding contributions to the University by General staff. All General staff, including temporary and casual staff, are eligible to be nominated, either as individuals or as members of a group. A maximum of three Awards are available.

Nominations can be made on behalf of other individual staff or groups of staff or by individual staff or groups of staff seeking Awards for themselves. A Selection Panel comprising the Director Equity & Diversity Office and four elected General staff members of the General Staffing Committee will review nominations.

That Committee will make their recommendation to the Vice-Chancellor for approval. Winners will receive a development grant of $2000 to be used to further professional development.

In all cases the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards are made for demonstrated outstanding contributions to any area or areas of work relevant to the objectives and operations of the University.

Information regarding the Awards can be found at http://www.cqu.edu.au/ppmanual/staff/vcawardexcelgeneral.htm. You will need to complete the prescribed nomination form.
