Vieth co-author of new 'Film in Australia' book

CQU academic Dr Errol Vieth is co-author of a new Cambridge University Press book: 'Film in Australia - An Introduction'.

PhotoID:3561 Dr Vieth, a senior lecturer with the School of Contemporary Communication, worked with Griffith University's Albert Moran to produce the publication.

According to the publisher's website, the book is enjoyable and accessible for the general reader and a must-read for all students of Australian film.

"Film in Australia is a groundbreaking book that systematically addresses the wide-ranging output of Australian feature films," the website says.

"Adopting a genre approach, it gives a different take on Australian films made since 1970, bypassing the standard run of historical texts and actor- or character-driven studies of Australian film".
