History-loving Heather enjoys Indigenous subjects

History-loving Heather Land chose a Bachelor of Arts degree so she could focus on history and subjects with Indigenous content.

She's especially enjoyed the 'Introductory Aboriginal & Islander History' and 'Family History and Australian Identity' subjects and is looking forward to exploring complementary themes throughout her degree.

"History was a favourite subject of mine at school and the love has continued here at CQUniversity," she says.

"My typical week involves researching in the library, writing essays and reports and drinking coffee with other students. My courses have been interesting and engaging and I've learnt so much already."

Ms Land is a fan of the Communication Learning Centre on campus as she can get feedback before handing in assignments, which is handy as she eases back into tertiary study.
