Former Moscow student Natalia Averina has become an Australian citizen, sailed aboard the Young Endeavour and graduated from Central Queensland University - all during the past six months.

PhotoID:1796 Most recently, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Information Systems at the CQU Rockhampton graduation (Feb 26).

Only a few weeks before, she spent 11 days aboard the Young Endeavour in a voyage from Sydney to Melbourne after success in a ballot for crew positions.

\"I had a great time despite the rainy weather. You learn a lot about teamwork and I gained in self-confidence,\" Natalia said.

\"One of the highlights was joining the crew along the boom to sing \'Advance Australia Fair\' as we sailed into the Port of Melbourne at the end.

\"We also had dolphins on both sides of the ship and we saw plenty of seals sunbaking.\".

The Young Endeavour Youth Scheme aims to provide young Australians with a unique, challenging and inspirational experience that increases their self-awareness, develops their teamwork and leadership skills, and creates a strong sense of community responsibility.
