Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Bundaberg nursing partnership develops 

The executive of Bundaberg Base Hospital this month (November 14) visited CQU Bundaberg to examine facilities and explore opportunities for development of the strong nursing and health education partnership.

PhotoID:2601 Facilities inspected included the nursing laboratories, lecture theatres and teaching rooms.

According to nursing lecturer Sonja Cleary, the visit was very positive and provided ideas for future collaboration.
