Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Noosa information evening to provide mature-age solutions 

An information night will be held at Central Queensland University’s Noosa Hub on Wednesday, September 7.

Commencing at 6.30pm, the evening will be held at the Cooroora Secondary College, 120 Summit Road, Pomona.

The information evening will cover alternative entry pathways through QTAC and CQU for mature-age students. Information will also be given about the various preparatory and assisted-entry programs available at CQU.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their circumstances over coffee after the presentation.
