Sydney staff at ISANA Conference

Staff from Client Services, CQU Sydney recently attended the annual ISANA conference hosted by the University of Wollongong.

ISANA is the representative body for international education professionals in Australia and New Zealand who work in student services, advocacy, teaching, and policy development in Australia and New Zealand.

The key focus of the 2-day conference was to discuss the changes to the National Code - how these should be implemented and how they would impact on international students and education providers.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to see how other institutions support their international students.

Client Services Manager, Linda Moalem-Wilhelmi, Sydney Undergraduate Campus, presented at the conference. Her presentation covered the support and monitoring of our students through the Student Monitoring Program.

Feedback on the presentation was very positive and it was pleasing to note that CQU was ‘ahead of the pack' in relation to the implication of the National Code changes as many of these were already in place.
