CQU manager moonlights as an 'angel flier'

CQU General Manager Commercial Operations Paul Lancaster, based at Rockhampton Campus, has been moonlighting as a volunteer with Angel Flight Australia.
Angel Flight is a charity that coordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people.
Mr Lancaster, a pilot who owns his own aircraft, was able to fly a 9-year-old Moranbah girl and her mother to Townsville and back to visit an ear specialist (a trip that would normally take several days).
"As a pilot registered with Angel Flight I get email updates about patients needing assistance and on this occasion I was able to help out," he said.
According to the girl's mother, in comments on the Angel Flight website: "What a change from our normal scenario. Picked up at 8.45 and back at 2.30 same day".
"I truly can't say thank-you enough to Paul (our pilot) and the rest of the crew from Angel Flight".
Mr Lancaster said the mission was covered by Channel 7 and other media in Townsville to promote Angel Flight.
