Spirit of Berlin evoked for Mackay's latest Cabaret stars
Published on 26 May, 2010
Music theatre students preparing to stage Cabaret in Mackay next month (June 10-13) have a few role models to help them evoke the spirit of Berlin.
The show's musical director Kim Kirkman recalls he was MD for the Ten Tenors' first European gig, in a cabaret tent in Berlin for a month.

Another staff member working on the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) show, Garrick Jones sang in Berlin on "countless occasions" during his days as a professional singer.
And the students won't be short of guidance about the world of musical theatre, since the show's director is Dale Pengelly, one of Australia's most decorated and well-travelled dancers and choreographers. LINK HERE for Dale Pengelly's background
Cabaret will be staged at CQUniversity's CQCM Theatre and bookings are via Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre on 4961 9700.
