Director of CQU Brisbane International Campus Geoff Wessling attended the International Students Welcome at Parliament House along with four selected CQU students (Susan from China, Kallet from Colombia, Jerome from France and Dimple from India).

PhotoID:1919 The afternoon started off with everyone being welcomed by Leigh Tabrett, a representative for the Minister for Education and Minister for Arts, the Honourable – Anna Bligh MP.

Soon after arriving we competed in an Australian Trivia Quiz with questions like ‘Which city in North Queensland is located near the Tropic of Capricorn’ and ‘Who is the Premier of Queensland’? After the quiz the students joined in a dance workshop, lawn bowls and a smarty and spoon race. Prizes were given to the group with the most winning points.

All guests and speakers were then invited to join together for a barbecue lunch with entertainment playing in the background.

The students from Brisbane International Campus had the opportunity to mix with students from other universities, colleges and high schools.
