Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Gladstone's Helen Holden to receive Teacher of Year Award 

Gladstone preparatory program innovator Helen Holden will receive her 2009 Vice-Chancellor's Teacher of the Year Award during a graduation ceremony at the Entertainment Centre, from 5pm on Thursday May 20.

A total of 51 graduates will attend the ceremony, which includes recognition for prize and award winners.

Double-prize winners to be recognised include Karlene Kelly, Rosemary Sajdi and Janelle Patroni. LINK HERE for prize and award winners .
