At the Women's World Cup in America in 2003, Jacqui refereed the bronze-medal play-off between America and Canada. At the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, she refereed the semi-final between the top two ranked teams in the world - USA and Germany. She also officiated during the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

"I am now doing my postgraduate year on the Medical Ward at the Base Hospital in Rockhampton. I finish it in November," Jacqui says.

"I will commence my graduate certificate in cancer nursing in February 2011 as I'm interested in the field of oncology. Then I may do my graduate diploma in cancer nursing."

Jacqui says university is about applying yourself and 'wanting it' bad enough, not about how smart you are.

"My moto is 'If you fail to prepare, then prepare to fail'."
