Emerald staff join Steps challenge

Staff from the newly located CQU Emerald Campus were among more than 900 from 90 teams to join CQU's 10 000 Steps Workplace Challenge this week.

PhotoID:1498 Staff members have been challenged to use pedometers and in their teams accumulate five million steps (the equivalent of walking across Australia) over an 8-12 week period. Participants will log their steps in the Step Log on the 10,000 Steps website (www.10000steps.org.au).

Emerald's Gai Sypher commented: “I have never been fitness conscious but 10 000 Steps has inspired me to develop a training program and be more aware of my dietary habits.”.

CQU Emerald is now located at the Emerald Agricultural College.
