CQU supports Nepalese festival

Anyone lucky enough to be at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour on Saturday April 29 would have enjoyed the hospitality of the Nepalese festival.

CQU Sydney International has had a long involvement with the Nepalese community and many CQU students, graduates and current, were spotted at the 2006 Nepal Festival, confirming this relationship.

PhotoID:2844 CQU Sydney was happy to be a sponsor and assist the Nepalese community in Australia to produce this wonderful extravaganza. Supporting such an important community event enables CQU to contribute to the Nepalese community.

The festival featured delicious Nepalese & Indian food and Nepalese dancers, with entertainment throughout the day. It was a superb event to celebrate Nepalese culture in Australia.

One of the hottest fashion items was the free festival t-shirt designed by CQU and given away to the attendees.

PhotoID:2845 The day ended with pyrotechnics and a live concert with Nepalese pop sensation Raju Lama (Mongolian Heart).

Organisers presented a plaque of appreciation to CQU representatives on the main stage.

CQU staff and students had such a fantastic day that they vowed to return next year to support this festive occasion.
