CQUni academic 'unmasked' in England's Guardian newspaper

The influential Guardian newspaper has unmasked CQUniversity academic Professor Kerry Reid-Searl as an educational simulation specialist worthy of world renown.
Reporter Claire Shaw describes Kerry as 'Mrs Doubtfire' due to her innovative MASK-EDTM package which features life-like masks, torsos, hands, feet and other body parts to enable health educators to take on the guise of a range of patients.

This week's article comes as Professor Reid-Searl is preparing for a 10-day visit to the United Kingdom as a conference keynote presenter and as an invited guest of several universities. Her original invitation came from the CEO of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.
Professor Reid-Searl will deliver a keynote address on day one of the Higher Education Academy Annual Health and Social Conference, scheduled for June 5-6 at The Queen's Hotel in Leeds.
Over the same period, Professor Reid-Searl has also been invited to deliver a keynote address at the UK Simulation in Nursing Education Conference hosted by CAE Healthcare at the University of Bedfordshire in Luton.

The Rockhampton-based academic is described as one of the world's leaders in teaching innovation, whose pioneering approaches are transforming the student learning experience in the field of nursing.
In November last year, Professor Reid-Searl was recognised with a prestigious Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching Award, as part of the 2012 Australian Awards for University Teaching.
She has gained widespread recognition for the MASK-EDTM and Pup-EdTM simulation packages.
