Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students contribute to choreography for show 

Six different artistic styles will be on show when CQU performing arts students present their dance/music performance, entitled '6*1 (Cubed)'.

PhotoID:3024 The performance will be held from 7.30pm on Friday, June 2, at the Bencke Drama Studio (building 4) at CQU Rockhampton, with $5 tickets available at the door on the night.

First, second and third-year students will be featured, with second-years also contributing choreography for 1 piece.

Six sections of the night will cover Australian, Indigenous, Pop, Multicultural, Jazz and Music Theatre styles. This performance will include musical ensembles and solo vocal work.
