Scholarships to support up and coming engineers

Central Queensland University has awarded 12 commendable secondary school students with Co-operative Engineering Scholarships.
The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Health will provide the Year 12 students from Gladstone, Mackay, Rockhampton and Bundaberg with scholarships to the value of $1000 once they enrol in the CQU Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op) program.
The recipients are: James McIntyre - North Bundaberg State High School, Lauren Maike - North Bundaberg State High School, Scott Avis - North Mackay State High School, Marc Cochrane - Pioneer State High School (Mackay), Alexander Bletchly - Toolooa State High School (Glastone), Joshua Worley - Gladstone State High School, Stuart Harvey - Emmaus College, Tim Stewart - Emmaus College and Ross Percival - Glenmore State High School.
Another seven current CQU enrolled students have been awarded $4000 each to go towards their HECS debts. These students include: Shelly Russell, Aaron Scanlan, Susan Alexander, Alicia Dew, Brett Wilson, Melissa Schick and Scott Coxon.
A further two $1000 scholarship payments have been made to Barbie Caldwell and Louise Wallace, also current students at CQU. These scholarships were awarded by Executive Dean Professor Elizabeth Taylor to go towards consumables and text books.
Central Queensland University Faculty of Sciences Engineering & Health is continuing to provide scholarships to assist students in furthering their studies.
