Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Campus hosts cancer relay fundraiser

CQU Rockhampton will host the Queensland Cancer Fund\'s Relay for Life (RFL) event again this year, on May 15-16 at the athletics track.

PhotoID:911 Last year\'s inaugural Rockhampton RFL attracted 48 teams, included 572 participants and raised more than $100,000.

The Queensland Cancer Fund is keen to attract even more University staff and student teams this year.
