Staff achievers congratulated

Chancellery has hosted another get-together for staff members achieving across a variety of different fronts.
They included Yvonne Toft, who has been awarded a Carrick Discipline-based Initiatives Scheme grant of $99,576 for the project: 'Safe guarding Australians: Mapping the strengths, challenges and gaps toward sustainable improvements in learning outcomes from diverse models of OHS education'.
Staff achievers were recognised during a function at Chancellery
Dr Colin Cole was there in recognition of his appointment as Director, Centre for Railway Engineering and Teacher of the Year winner Dr Kerry Reid-Searl also attended.
Indigenous Equity and Diversity Officer Roger Hunt was welcomed for his enthusiam and Kerrie Hand was recognised for outstanding performance and work on policy and management in the Research Higher Degree area.
Dr Ralph Alquezar was invited as a thanks for success in a range of research projects and Dr Alistair Melzer's attendance recognised his further funding from the Earthwatch Institute for koala research St Bees Island.
Dr Stewart Lockie was welcomed as the new Director, Centre for Social Science Research, and Peter Edwards was noted for transforming ITD services.
Gabriel Donleavy was welcomed as the new Head of School, Commerce and Marketing and Dr Donna Brien was recognised for gaining national and international writer's awards and Fellowships.
