Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students recognised for TEP success 

A morning tea was held this week at Nulloo Yumbah* on CQUniversity Rockhampton Campus to recognise students who have successfully completed courses in the Tertiary Entry Program (TEP).

These students are currently on campus for a Term 2 residential school.

TEP is offered to prepare students for tertiary study, to provide skills and understanding in areas including numeracy, communication and science, to provide experience of university courses and to stimulate the joy of learning.
