Our 'first-job' graduates ahead on starting salaries

CQUniversity graduates have traditionally outperformed state and national medians in terms of overall salary rates, but the latest data shows they are also ahead of the 'starting salary' trends for 'first-job' graduates.

Graduate Careers Australia this week (11.30pm Tuesday) released tables showing median annual starting salaries for bachelor degree graduates who are Australian citizens and permanent residents aged less than 25 and who were in their first full-time employment in Australia at the time of the survey.

CQUniversity performed well with an overall median starting salary of $47,000 compared with the national and state overall median starting salary of $45,000.
