Lecturer trains financial services trainers

CQU Melbourne International lecturer from the Faculty of Business and Law, Ken Bruce, addressed a group of training managers at Financial Services Training Managers’ Forums held in Melbourne and Sydney recently.
About 90 training managers came from major financial services organisations including CBA, AMP, Merrill Lynch, AXA, Australian Unity General Insurance Limited, Goldman Sachs, JBWere and Mercer Human Resource Consulting.
These forums are facilitated by the Association of Financial Services Educators which informs members of the educational requirements for financial advisors.
Ken has had extensive experience in the financial services industry.
He has advised the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the National Finance Industry Training Advisory Body on competency standards for financial planners for licensing purposes.
He has also been Chair for the Certification Committee of the International Certified Financial Planner Council.
Ken has also served as a technical expert on the ISO Technical Committee 222 (Personal Financial Planning) and continues to be a member of the Standards Australia Committee on Personal Financial Planning.
