Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CGH Director to take up new Position

Kevin Ryan has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Campus Group Holdings P/L (CGH) and is moving from Rockhampton to Sydney to take up his new appointment. CGH is the joint shareholder and manager of C Management Services P/L (CMS), which is the operational company responsible for the Australian International Campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Kevin is also a director of CGH and in his previous role as Group General Manger was responsible for day-to-day interaction between CGH, CMS and CQU for strategic, financial and contractual matters.

Kevin will retain these responsibilities in his new role and will be a frequent visitor back to CQU.

Previously Kevin held positions with CQU as Business Development Manager and Director of Community Relations before moving to CGH three years ago.
