Finding a job made easier

Finding employment will be made easier for Central Queensland University job seekers with the launch of Career Hub on Monday 8 July.
Career Hub will enable CQU students and recent graduates to access information about positions vacant, create and distribute resumes and apply for positions online. It will also enable employers to advertise their positions to quality applicants free of charge.
Career Hub is a new web-based employment site hosted by Central Queesland University’s Counselling, Careers and Health division. The website can be found at http://careerhub.cqu.edu.au.
With more than 100 employers registered on Career Hub, CQU’s Careers Service Manager Robyn Kennedy is excited about the employment prospects for CQU students.
“We have always distributed information about vacant positions, but this new website allows all students, on-campus and those studying by distance education, to have better access to job and employer information,” Ms Kennedy said.
“Through the website students can search for jobs by discipline or service areas. They can target their area of interest and match their qualifications to jobs.
“Employers also benefit by being able to target university-qualified candidates.
Career Hub is a sophisticated, yet easy to use, web-based software application that manages employer details, vacancy information, student profiles, event, web links, news and articles.
Career Hub can only be accessed by University students and graduates via the CQU website. Students are required to enter a username and password to access their personal career information via the website.
Employers who have positions available are being encouraged to register their business and positions with Career Hub via the Careers Service office. Vacant positions can also be linked to an employers website.
