Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Multimedia Exhibition opens in Mackay 

Central Queensland University's first multimedia exhibition, Raw Digitalent, opened at Mackay on Saturday night.

PhotoID:230 Approximately 200 people attended the opening to inspect the collection of digital artwork, short films, websites and interactive multimedia software on display.

The exhibits were created by students from CQU's Bachelor of Multimedia Studies program. Projects from students throughout Australia and as far away as Singapore were included in the line-up.

A one-hour screening of short digital movies in the Cook Lecture Theatre proved to be the highlight of the evening.

The software component of the exhibition will remain on display in the Forgan Smith Building during office hours from Monday 12th until Wednesday 14th of August.
