Les Mis has Conservatorium flavour

Mackay Choral Society's production of Les Miserables in Concert was a major success, thanks to input from Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music staff and students.

Musical director Dimitri Kopanakis, a CQCM lecturer, led 107 performers, including a 30-piece orchestra and 60 choir members as well as ensemble and solo singers.

Several CQCM students contributed as soloists and instrumentalists.

The Mackay Entertainment Centre event attracted 1500 audience members across four shows during early November.
