Brazilian TV presenter finds friendly voices at CQU Gladstone
Published on 05 October, 2004
Portuguese was not a common language of choice at CQU Gladstone until recently when the campus hosted a visit by Brazilian TV presenter Joelita Jsia Senedese, host of the popular lifestyle program 'Tempo Perfeito' (perfect time).
'Tempo Perfeito' is for third-age people( 50s+) and Joelita develops interviews, reports and news linked to the improvement of life of third-age people in, for example, health, beauty, behaviour, science, nutrition and adult learning.
Joelita visited the campus to meet her friend Flavio Coelho, who is a PhD student, and to interview locals for a program about adult learning.
She also caught up with another person who has strong family ties to Brazil: Paulo Vieira, Director of Studies from the CQU Language Centre. Paulo was keen to chat about promotion of English language study tours to Australia.
