Uni lecture has a 'bull' ring to it

Rockhampton people are encouraged to attend a university lecture with a difference - the Beef De-Brief.

Central Queensland University's Faculty of Business & Law is arranging a novel atmosphere for a public lecture by Beef Australia 2003 event manager Noel Landry.

PhotoID:847 Mr Landry will discuss the outcomes of Rockhampton's big event from the back of a truck at Lee Kernaghan's Great Western Hotel bullring, surrounded by cattle and other rural trappings.

Organisers are promising entertainment and razzamatazz as well as some important information sharing.

As well as reflecting on CQU's involvement in the 2003 event (eg. some of the statistics to be quoted have been collected by marketing students from the Faculty), they are planning a symbolic commitment by the University to Beef 2006.

The event will be held from 6.30pm on Friday, August 15. Tickets can be arranged by calling 4923 2626 ENDS For details call Darryl Parker on 0417 713 407
