Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Warm Gold Coast welcome for Cool Schools winner 

Monica Christayani has been studying at the CQU Gold Coast International language centre this month, as a winner of a competition linked to CQU's segment on Indonesia's Cool Schools TV show last year.

PhotoID:2571 Cool Schools is an MTV-style show that visits universities around the world to profile studying abroad.

CQU International arranged the program as a co-sponsored government project with the Queensland Office of Higher Education.

CQU offered two, four-week language tuition scholarships in conjunction with the airing of its edition of 'Cool Schools'.
