Congratulations Facilities on a job well done

Division of Facilities Management employees are still hard at work with the final ‘pull down’ of the CQ Multicultural Fair and CQU Open Day.

PhotoID:2352 The event is a huge part of the Facilities calendar, taking a number of weeks to prepare the site and now close to two weeks to pull down the structures and fix any maintenance problems caused by the day.

One person who has been doing the job since the event began is Ken O’Brien. Ken helps coordinate Facilities’ part in the day with overall coordinator Michael Beck.

Ken said about 20 people are part of the Facilities team that take part in the event. He said it was a huge job every year.

Facilities jobs include erecting tents, signage, preparing the lawns, marking out stall holder sites and directing site holders and traffic on the day.

Congratulations to the Facilities staff on their huge effort this year. The day wouldn’t be such a success without them.
