Kristine said that after completing foundation studies she was looking forward to working with people in the real-world setting of the Clinic. She's due to graduate in 2.5 years.

The Bachelor of Podiatry Practice at CQUniversity is a four-year program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to practice as a Podiatrist. Podiatrists are health professionals who deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

Students are able to study topics in health sciences including anatomy, physiology, microbiology and psychology, as well as specialised courses specific to podiatry including gerontology, paediatrics, biomechanics, musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, pharmacology and surgery.

The first year of the program provides foundational health sciences knowledge and skills, with the podiatry-specific courses following in the remaining years.

Students have opportunity to integrate theory with practice and complete 1000 hours of internal and external clinical placement throughout the program.
