Sydney hosts Care Australia fundraiser

CQU Sydney International Campus and CARE Australia recently arranged a morning tea fundraiser, as part of the World Hunger Campaign bid to promote awareness and urge the public to help hungry children and families.

PhotoID:3446 This initiative was successfully coordinated by TECC Manager Suzana Vicentijevic who organised Brumby’s (one of the partners of the CARE Australia campaign) to provide academics and staff with a delicious morning breakfast and gift bag.

To help support the initiative, the CQU Sydney International Campus theme was 'Do without stress and do a World of Good'.

This included a day of casual dress, morning tea and vouchers courtesy of Brumby’s.

Thanks to staff and academics at CQU Sydney International Campus who kindly donated to the cause, raising a total of $333.50, equivalent of purchasing 17 water filters.

The next fundraiser will be held for CARE Australia on Tuesday October 24.

Keeping in line with the 'doing without stress' theme, CQU Sydney International Campus will run a yoga class for all interested staff and students. All proceeds will go to the CARE Australia stress less campaign.
