Healthy workplaces makes for great debate

‘Health in the Workplace: It's up to the individual' was the subject of an entertaining and colourful debate this week between University academics.
Dressed as the Mad Hatter (and giving Johnny Depp a run for his money), Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Angela Delves lead her affirmative team - Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Jennelle Kyd and Associate Professor Yvonne Toft - into a humorous battle of wit and aptitude with the opposing team - Dr Brendan Humphries, Dr Fiona Coulson and Dr Ryan Kift.
Debaters were full of colour and costume at today's healthy workplace debate.Although Professor Delves' team made a convincing argument for individuals making their own decisions, the debate worm was more inspired by Dr Humphries' team with their enthusiasm for making health the responsibility of the organisation not the individual.
Tomorrow's debate ‘Reflections on Easter: The Bunny or the Bilby' is sure to conclude the week's festivities in a fun and flavoursome way.
A pre-debate breakfast of bacon and eggs will be served to attendees and if you stay longer you might find yourself treated to some chocolate eggs.

Ryan Kift dressed his argument up with colour and personality.
